The Rewards of Filippo Berio Olive Oil (Review)

I don’t know about you, but I do try my best to eat a heart-healthy diet.  I try to cut back on butter and fats.  That is why I am so glad I was chosen to review Filippo Berio Olive Oil and give my honest review of this amazing product.  I was not told what to write nor did I have to offer a positive review of this product.  I merely received a free product from the company because I was part of  the BzzAgent campaign for Filippo Berio Olive Oil.
When I cook food, I prefer being as healthy as possible.  I don’t like to use butter unless I absolutely must.  I don’t sauté vegetables or meat in butter.  If a recipe calls for it, I prefer using Olive Oil.  If I have to pan fry something, I have found Olive Oil is still a pretty good choice.  I became interested in being healthy when I lost about 50 pounds several years ago.  I have been able to keep it off, and it is due to simple life changes like using olive oil that I know I have been successful.
Filippo Berio Olive Oil is one of the finest olive oils out there.  Since it arrived, I have not opted to use any other olive oil in the house.  I got to try the Extra Virgin Oil, and I know the flavor is better than the cheaper olive oils.  They only use the first cold-press of the olives (I had to look that one up), and that is why you can rest assured that you are getting the finest olive oil.  The company does have a variety of oils from which to choose.  In addition to the extra virgin olive oil, they have organic, regular olive oil, and extra light tasting.  You can check out on their site which one will work best for the food you are making.  You can also check out their recipes.  That’s something I have not done, but I certainly plan to!
So why switch to olive oil?  If you are not convinced, you may want to take a look at this chart.  Some of the healthy benefits of olive oil include:
  • helps protect against heart disease
  • helps in digestion
  • even helps to promote healthy aging!  (I like that one since I will be 39 in two days!)
So the next time you are getting ready to cook your dinner, consider using olive oil instead of butter or margarine.  And Fillippo Berio Olive Oil is tops

FILIPPO BERIO®

h its flavor
The cheapest oil we tested, priced at $0.30 per ounce, this oil garnered favorable reviews for its overall mildness, but failed to please with its flavor. This olive oil was praised for its “fresh” and “mellow” scent, with one volunteer commenting that it “makes me ready for lunch.” Disappointing, though, was the oil’s “metallic” and “artificial” taste, as well as its “overpowering” bitterness.
